Lansky Leads at Park City State Am Qualifier

PARK CITY, Utah – Park City High School alum Josh Lansky was the only player to shoot under par at the Park City State Am qualifier on Monday.

He was able to stay focused to score a 70 (-2) on a day that saw three play stoppages due to heavy rain and lightning in the area.  His front nine had ups and downs as he birdied the 1st hole, then bogeyed the 2nd.  He birdied again on the 4th hole, but bogeyed again on the 6th for an even 36 on the front nine.  That trend continued on the back nine when he birdied the 12th and bogeyed the 14th, but he centered himself well for the remaining holes and had back to back birdies on 16 and 17 to score a 34 on the back nine.

Three players tied for 2nd as they all shot even on the day:  William Richards (Youth on Course), Tanner Telford (Ogden Golf & Country Club), and Zane Brownrigg (Red Ledges).

27 of the 84 golfers qualified for the 121st Utah State Amateur.  You can view the full results here: https://www.golfgenius.com/pages/1832475
