Utah’s Dylan Chugg Shoots Lowest Score at Wolf Creek Qualifier

EDEN, Utah – A tough test at Wolf Creek awaited those aiming to qualify for the 121st Utah State Amateur, and the mountain course bared its challenges.  Dylan Chugg of the University of Utah was able to score the lowest by shooting 2-over-par (73) for his round.

Chugg’s front nine of 34 was among the best of the day having birdied three holes.  The back nine, like most of the field, was where it got considerably difficult.  Bogeys on the 10th and 13th holes, as well as a double-bogey on the 18th, made it so he was unable to finish his round under par, but he played well enough to earn medalist honors.

Chase Lansford (Logan River GC) had the most pars on the day and finished 2nd with a round of 76 (+5).  Tying for 3rd place with rounds of 78 (+7) were Parker Lyons (Overlake GC) and Austin McBride (Crater Spring Golf Course).
