UGA Adds Michetti as New Membership & Marketing Director
In early 2019, 4-time Women’s State Amateur Champion and longtime UGA staffer Kelsey Chugg accepted a position with the Salt Lake City Golf Division. The UGA is thrilled to see what she will do next, but her departure left a large hole in the UGA membership department. After a two-month hiring process, which yielded many quality candidates, the UGA announced William Michetti as the next head of the membership department.
William came to the UGA from North Carolina where he was a Marketing Assistant in the NC State athletic department. He also spent time with two NHL teams, the Carolina Hurricanes and Tampa Bay Lightning. In addition to an excellent experience William was very successful in academics achieving a bachelor’s degree in marketing analytics and a masters in sport management from Liberty University. “William brings a brand-new skill set to the UGA and we are excited to see what he does in year one!” said UGA Executive Director, Jake Miller. “Coming from outside the golf world, he will certainly bring new ideas and experiences that will benefit all of our members.”
