Ryan Sarlo Wins Medalist Honors in Logan, Advances to State Am Championship
Ryan Sarlo, son of Ogden Golf and Country Club head pro Craig Sarlo, earned medalist honors at the Utah State Am Qualifying at Logan Golf and Country Club today by shooting a four under par 67. It earned him a place a in the 114th Utah State Amateur that will be held at their home course at Ogden Golf and Country Club and Valley View next month.
Twenty six others players shot 74 or better to advance to the finals including 13-year-old Cole Ponich who qualified by shooting 74.
The cut came even at 74 and there were eight players at 75 with Kevin Peterson and Nick Zollinger winning alternate spots in a playoff for those who shot 75.
Those who qualified for the finals at Ogden Golf and Country Club and Valley View were as follows:
