Finau Wins Second Straight Title on Golfworld’s National Pro Golf Tour

Tony Finau is now two-for-two on Golfworld’s National Pro Golf Tour. He’s played in two events and won them both. This latest victory was very impressive as he started the round tied for the lead and won by four shots. His four rounds were 70-67-69-69-275. The tournament was the Atlantic Open played at the Conservatory in Palm Coast Florida and first place prize money was $23,000. Last week he won the Hall of Fame Classic that had a $20,000 first place reward.
Finau won the Utah State Amateur in 2006 by defeating Daniel Summerhays in the championship match. Summerhays has his PGA Tour Card and Finau is still seeking a chance to play on the Big Dance.
Other Utahns playing on the Golfworld Tour include Dusty Fielding from Richfield, Nick Killpack from St. George, and Dustin Pimm, Stuart Gold, and Clay Ogden from the Wasatch front. Pimm has played in five events and won $11,000. Fielding has played in five events and won $8600.
The next scheduled tournament is next week at ChampionsGate International in ChampionsGate, Florida. The tournament then takes two weeks off and moves to the Midwest.
