U.S. Mid-Amateur & Women’s Mid-Amateur Qualifiers At Bonneville Golf Course
The U.S. Mid-Amateur qualifier was hosted by Bonneville Golf Course on August 19th. There were only 3 spots for the men and 2 spots for the women. With a bright sun and light breeze, Steele Dewald came to play finishing as the medalist of this event with an end score of -5 (67). Following Dewald, there was a 3 man playoff for the final 2 spots. Mark Gardiner secured the second spot and Daniel Griffiths secured the last spot after the playoff. For the women’s division, with close end scores, Jessica Mangrobang was able to come out on top as the medalist with +1 (73). Following Mangrobang, Cali Hipp ended with +8 (80) claiming the final spot. We are very excited to see all the players who qualified in the US Mid-Amateur Championship.
