Zac Blair Finishes 40th in U.S. Open
Zac Blair bookended his U.S. Open performance with a closing round of 71 to go with his opening round of 71 and finished with a nine over par 289 that was good for 40th place.
He is the first native born Utahn to play all four rounds of the U.S. Open since Jay Don Blake. Blake finished sixth in 1984 and 62nd in 1985. He missed the cut in 1982, 1986, and 1989.
Several Utahns have played in the U.S. Open, including Zac’s dad Jimmy Blair, Mike Borich, and Eric Hogg, but they didn’t make the cut.
Jimmy and Zac are Utah’s first father and son to play in the tournament.
