Utah Golf Association Unveils New Logo and Brand Identity
New look honors the UGA’s history while establishing a distinct Utah identity for the association’s future
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (Sept. 23, 2026) — The Utah Golf Association (UGA) today unveiled a new logo and brand identity, introducing a modern look designed to better represent Utah golf while honoring the history of an association that has served the game in the state for more than a century.
The new identity, which officially launches today across the UGA’s platforms, incorporates Utah’s mountain landscape and a reference to 1899, the year of the inaugural Utah State Amateur Championship. Together, those elements connect the association’s history with a look designed to represent the UGA and Utah golf well into the future.
UGA President Tina Mathieu said "This logo captures what makes Utah golf distinct — a landscape and a history unlike anywhere else. As a board, we see it as both a tribute to more than 125 years of the game in this state and a clear statement of where we're taking the UGA next."
UGA Executive Director Easton Folster said the process began with a desire to create an identity that members would immediately recognize as representing golf in Utah.
“We wanted to create an identity that Utah golfers and UGA members could be proud of—one that represents what ‘Utah Golf’ truly is,” Folster said. “It was important that we honor the UGA’s history while creating a look that reflects where the association and the game are headed.”
The new logo replaces the UGA mark that has represented the association for decades. While that logo carried considerable history and familiarity, the new design introduces elements more directly connected to Utah and the UGA.
Snow-capped mountains recognize the landscape that provides the backdrop to golf throughout the state, while the inclusion of 1899 recognizes the inaugural playing of the Utah State Amateur, the oldest continuously held golf tournament in the world.
The championship’s place in golf history was an important element in developing an identity designed to be distinctly Utah while maintaining the UGA’s connection to its past.
The new identity is part of a broader modernization of the UGA brand that also includes the launch of a redesigned website. The new site is intended to provide Utah golfers with a modern, centralized home for UGA championships, membership information, handicapping, news and other association resources.
“We view our website as the front door to Utah golf, so giving it a fresh, modern look was an important part of this process,” Folster said. “The UGA brand remains as strong as ever, but with an identity that reflects our commitment to growing and adapting alongside the game and Utah’s golfers for decades to come.”
Beginning Sept. 23, the new identity will be incorporated across the UGA’s website, championships, communications, social media and other member-facing platforms.
The launch represents more than a change in appearance. It brings the UGA’s visual identity in line with an association that continues to evolve while maintaining its connection to the championships, traditions and golfers that have shaped more than 125 years of Utah golf.
