Jackson Rhees and Andrew Cottle Finish as Co-Medalists at Bountiful Ridge Qualifier

The sun failed to make an appearance as Jackson Rhees and Andrew Cottle finished as co-medalists at the Utah State Amateur qualifier at Bountiful Ridge Golf Club on June 3rd. Both players saw themselves at -3(68) with impressive performances on the day even with the light, windy rain that finished the day.
Rhees’ five impressive birdies on the day established his name as one of the medalists early on in the day as he was a shoo-in to finish as one of the top performers in this qualifier. Cottle had four birdies of his own and one on his final hole of the day that brought him up to be a co-medalist. Both players limiting their bogeys was critical to their performances as well as their level-headedness.
12 players were able to win the battle against the rolling greens on the day as they secured their spots for the 126th Utah State Amateur, which will be held at Ogden Golf & Country Club July 8-13.
