Dan Hatch earns medalist against strong field at Davis Park Qualifier
Dan Hatch -4 (67) got hot early to shoot four-under on the front nine and then held on to finish as medalist at the Senior and Super Senior State Am Qualifier at Davis Park Golf Course. After a bogey on the first hole, Hatch recorded four pars, three birdies and an eagle to round out his exceptional front nine. Three other players finished under par and five players shot E (71) in what proved to be a competitive field from top to bottom. The cut came at +3 (74) for the Senior Division with 19 players qualifying for the tournament.
For the Super Senior division, Ron Stuart earned medalist honors by shooting -1 (70). The cut came at +3 (74) with 8 players qualifying. The Senior and Super Senior State Amateur will take place at Bonneville Golf Course from August 23 to August 26.
