Carter Frisby ties career low with 63 at Last Chance Qualifier

Carter Frisby -9 (63) tied his career low to earn medalist honors at the Utah State Amateur Last Chance Qualifier at Glendale Golf Course. Frisby, who just graduated high school and is still deciding on a college to play for, touted his putting as the difference in his round.

“I had 11 putts on my front nine and 13 putts on my back nine,” said Frisby, “I was hitting the ball solid but not great today. My misses weren’t bad enough to get me into too much trouble and then I just made putts.”

The cut came at -2 (70) with 8 players qualifying for the State Am. Frisby and the rest of the golfers that qualified can now set their sights on the Utah State Amateur to be held at Alpine Country Club and co-hosted by Thanksgiving Point Golf Club in July.
