Bennett & Howe Top Soldier Hollow Qualifier
An exciting day at Soldier Hollow Golf Course as the first Utah State Amateur Qualifier end with a 5-player playoff to earn the 8th and final qualifying spot into this year’s championship. Pete Bennett and Hunter Howe tied for medalist honors as they both led the field coming in at (-5) 67. Brandon Robinson (-4) 68 and Jack Algya (-3) 69 weren’t far behind the leaders as they also earn their spots into this year’s Utah State Amateur Championship. The final spot was decided in a playoff as 5 players ended the day tied at (-1) 71. After birdieing both hole 10 and 11 in the playoff, Max Brenchley earned the final qualifying spot for the tournament. Link to the full results below.
