PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – Senior Kyler Dunkle came away with his third top-five finish of the fall on Wednesday at the Saint Mary’s Invitational, placing in a tie for fourth overall to lead the Utah men’s golf team. Utah’s five-man team finished in 12th place at the three-day event at the Poppy Hills Golf Course in Pebble Beach, Calif.

“This was a great tournament for Kyler,” said Utah head coach Garrett Clegg. “I am thrilled for how he finished his fall season. As for the rest of the team, we did not finish the fall like we wanted to. We will continue to practice and get better in order to be ready for our spring events.”

The Utes posted a final round of 10-over par (294) to slip into 12th overall in the 18-team field. Utah finished with a combined score of 26-over par (292-291-294=878).
