Plewe-Richens Earn 64 Gross Modified Stableford Points to Lead Women’s Spring Open

Kiselya Plewe and Gracie Richens earned 64 gross Modified Stableford points during the first round of the Women’s Spring Open at Green Spring Golf Course to gain a five-point lead. The youngest team in the field made three birdies and an eagle on the Par 5 No. 4 to pull ahead in the First Flight and gain an early advantage heading into the final round.

 

Not far behind Plewe and Richens is the strong duo of Kareen Alton and Jodi White with 59 points. Alton and White came out of the Round 1 gates strong across the board, spreading the gap between second and third place to fifteen points. Along with climbing to the top of the gross leaderboard, they are currently tied for first with Uji Bymaster and Sherdean Carter with 80 net points.

 

Forty-three two-women teams are entered in the popular event, and competition is divided into four handicap flights. The second round of play will be held Tuesday at Coral Canyon.
