Finau Nears Million Mark After Hilton Head Finish
Tony Finau topped the Utah State Amateur champions at the RBC Heritage tournament Sunday but none of them were in contention for the title. Finau finished 39th and earned $23,600 and Daniel Summerhays finished 51st and Zac Blair finished 59th.
Brandon Grace won by two shots on solid rounds of 66-74-69-66-275 for a nine under par total.
Finau is only $3700 short of reaching the million dollar earnings mark and that will be reached whenever he makes his next cut. He ranks 47th in money earnings, which means there are 46 millionaires already on the tour this year.
Blair is 70th in money earnings at $688,449 and Summerhays is 94th with $500,787.
Finau ranks 32nd in the Fed Ex standings. The top 30 in the Fed Ex standings advance to the season ending Fed Ex elimination tournament. Blair ranks 63rd on the Fed Ex ladder and Summerhays is 81st. Summerhays made the top 30 last year.
