Finau Breaks Slump With Final Round 67 at Arnold Palmer Event

Tony Finau is back.

He shot a final round 67 in the Arnold Palmer Classic at Bay Hill and finished in 43rd place and that’s the first time he’s earned a paycheck for six weeks. He missed the cut in his last four outings and went 16 rounds without shooting in the 60s.

So yes, his final round of 67 at Bay Hill should be a big confidence booster.

Zac Blair also broke out of a slump of sorts by finishing in 51st place. Blair missed the cut in his three previous events, but no worries, as just two months ago he won the biggest paycheck of his life, $400,000 for finishing third in the Sony Championship. Since then he has missed the cut in five of seven events.

At Bay Hill Finau shot 70-74-73-67-284 and earned $23,310. Blair shot 71-68-77-70-286 and earned $14,571.

Daniel Summerhays missed the cut at Bay Hill on rounds of 71-76-147, but tied for 22nd the previous week at Valspar where he earned $53,000.

On the season Blair has earned $648,216, Summerhays stands at $486,588, and Finau has earned $432,791. Not bad for being in slumps.
