Thunderbirds Finish in Tenth at Del Walker Intercollegiate
Southern Utah had three different players shoot a round in 60s at the Del Walker Intercollegiate but didn’t get enough consistency to contend for the title. The Thunderbirds finished in 10th place, 34 shots behind Cal Poly that won the title. Cal Poly shot 838 and edged Long Beach State by a single shot. The tournament was played at Virginia Country Club ibn Long Beach, California.
Michal Chen of Long Beach State was medalist with rounds of 68-64-69-201.
Fidel Concepcion led the Thunderbirds with a one under par 215 on rounds of 72-74-69. Cedric Young shot 76-68-75-219 and Bradley Collett shot 78-69-73-220.
