Zach Johnson Wins TaylorMade Title for Second Time
Zach Johnson, the assistant pro at Davis Park, won the 22nd TaylorMade Cabo Invitational this past weekend at Cabo del Sol, Mexico. Johnson birdied three of the last five holes to card a final round 64 to win the $15,000 first prize money by two strokes. He also won the TaylorMade title in 2012. The tournament is held annually at the same site.
The win qualifies him for the 5th Annual TaylorMade National Championship at Pebble Beach in March, 2016.
Monte Montgomery, of Shadow Creek Golf Club (Las Vegas, NV) finished second at 18 under par and Michael Block, of Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club (Mission Viejo, CA), finished third at 16 under par.
