UVU Mgolf: Utah Valley finishes sixth at Stockton Pacific Invitational

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Utah Valley University men's golf team shot a final round score of 10-over-par 294 Saturday to finish in sixth place with a three-round score of 34-over-par 886 (305-287-294) at the Stockton Pacific Invitational.
 
The Wolverines finished sixth ahead of 10 other teams at the event. UVU closes out its fall season with its best team finish of the season.  Sacramento State won the tournament with a score of 7-over-par 859 (299-271-289).

JT Timmons led the Wolverines with a three-round score of 6-over-par 219 (75-71-73) to finish in a tie for 12th place. Timmons carded a final round 2-over-par 73 as he finished just two strokes outside of the top 10.
 
Blair Bursey shot a final-round 1-over-par 72 to finish the tournament in a tie for 20th with a three-round score of 7-over-par 220 (73-75-72).  Ariel Elftman-Hanson finished in a tie for 36th after shooting a 4-over-par 75 in the final round. Elftman-Hanson finished with a three-round score of 11-over-par 224 (80-69-75).
 
Cedric Laverdure carded a 3-over-par 74 in Saturday's final round to finish in a tie for 40th with a three-round tally of 12-over-par 225 (78-73-74).  Dalton Jackson rounded out the Wolverine scoring with a three-round score of 22-over-par 235 (79-74-82) to finish in a tie for 76th.
 
The tournament wraps up the fall season for the Wolverines. Utah Valley will open spring play on Feb. 8 at the Pat Hicks Invitational in St. George, Utah.
