Summerhays, Finau Tie for 16th at Shriners

Daniel Summerhays and Tony Finau finished in a tie for 16th place at the Shriners Hospital for Children Open at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas. They each earned checks of $115,187 and stand at 29th on the  PGA Tour money winnings. It was the second event of the 2016 season. They each have 86 FedEx Cup points and rank 21st on the FedEx season long leaderboard.

Zac Blair has missed the cut in each of the first two events of the season.

Smylie Kaufman won the event with rounds of 67-72-68-61-268. That final round of 61 was the difference maker.

Summerhays shot 68-65-72-69-274 and Finau also shot 274 on rounds of 69-71-66-68. Taking their best 18-hole scores each day they combined for 68-65-66-68-267 which would have beat Kaufman by just one shot.
