Purser announced as Big Sky Player of the week

OGDEN, UTAH (October 6, 2015)- The Big Sky Conference announced Weber State golfer Devon Purser as
this week’s Big Sky Men’s Golfer of the Week.
Purser shot an eight-under-par 205 over three rounds to tie for fourth at the OGIO Utah Invitational, hosted
by the University of Utah. Playing at Park City’s Jeremy Golf and Country Club, Purser shot an opening round
67, and followed it up with a 66.
Purser was the event’s leader after two rounds, before shooting a one-over-par 72 in the final round.
This is Purser’s second Golfer of the Week award. His first came after a high finish at the Ram Masters Invitational
on Sept. 22.
The Wildcats placed third in the OGIO Utah Invitational, besting host Utah and fellow Big Sky member
Southern Utah. SUU’s Fidel Concepion finished with a two-under-par 211. Other high Big Sky finishers included
Weber State’s Colton Dallimore and Alex Herzog.
The Idaho Vandals won a tournament over the weekend, winning the University of Wyoming Southern at
Chin Southern Dunes. The Vandals bested teams like Wyoming, San Francisco and Grand Canyon in the win.
Rylee Iacolucci was the high finisher for Idaho in the tourney, shooting a three-round total of 212, or fourunder-par.

Sacramento State’s Aaron Beverly had another strong performance for the Hornets, as he helped Sac State
to a fourth-place finish in the Nick Watney Invitational. Beverly tied for eighth place, shooting a fiveunder-par
208 over three rounds.
Sac State’s Taylor Knoll finished a stroke behind Beverly, shooting a 209.
North Dakota’s Jacob Dehne shot a career-best 54-hole total of 220 at the Zach Johnson Invitational. He
finished seven-over-par for three rounds.
