Baird Wins Utah Section Championship
Matt Baird, teaching professional at Riverside Country Club, won the Utah Section Championship earlier this week at Toana Vista Golf Course. He shot 68-67-135 and won the $6,000 first prize purse. Joe Summerhays and Pete Stone finished two shots back to share second place.
The top ten players were as follows:
135- Matt Baird, 68-67
137- Joe Summerhays, 71-66; Pete Stone, 68-69
138- Tommy Sharp, 67-71
139- Tele Wightman, 70-69
140- Chris Moody, 71-69; Dustin Volk, 68-72
141- Zach Johnson, 72-69
142- Shawn Edwards, 72-70
145- Ryan Kartchner, 73-72
