Brimley Tops Qualifiers in Advancing to USGA Mid-Am Championship
Three Utahns and a Texan won qualifying spots into the USGA Mid-Am Championship Monday at Park Meadows Country Club. Ryan Brimley won medalist honors with a three under par 69 and Texan Charles Archer shot 71 for the second spot. At even par and earning the last two spots were Darrin Overson and Robbie Fillmore.
Three players shot one over par 73 and earned alternate spots with Jon Wright being the first alternate and Ben Schilleman taking the second alternate spot.
Park Meadows was in immaculate condition and the green speeds reached into the teens.
The USGA Mid-Am Championship will be conducted October 3-8 at John’s Island Club in Vero Beach, Florida
The top scores were as follows:
69- Ryan Brimley
71- Charles Archer
72- Darrin Overson, Robbie Fillmore
73- Jon Wright, Ben Schilleman, Zach Janiec
74- Kirk Siddens, Aaron Smith, Tyler Labrum
75- Dan Horner, Clint Christiansen
