State Am Breakfast Honors Former Champions, Final 32 Players

The annual Utah State Am Breakfast of Champions was held Thursday morning at the Soldier Hollow clubhouse as a prelude to the match play Round of 32. Fairways Magazine presented a video recording that included interviews and comments from numerous former champions.

The meeting was conducted by UGA President Jim Harland and was attended by many UGA board members, volunteers and the UGA staff.

Former champions attending the breakfast were Jon Wright, Joe Parkinson, Dan Horner, Nick Nelson, Darrin Overson, Todd Barker, Jason Wight, Brad Sutterfield, Steve Borget, and Arlen Peacock.

The players who reached the Round of 32 were honored and presented with a medal of achievement for reaching this stage of the tournament.

The Round of 32 includes five former champions, Wright, Parkinson, Horner, Nelson, and Overson, and former runnerup Carl Jensen. It also includes the state’s top UGA and collegiate  performers of this season including Jordan Rodgers, Robbie Fillmore, Patrick Fishburn, and Seokown Jeon.

The Round of 16 will be played Thursday afternoon. The quarterfinals and semifinals will be played Friday, and the 36-hole championship match will be played Saturday.
