Tight Leaderboard in UGA Women’s 4-Ball Championship
The third annual UGA Women’s Four-Ball Championship got started today at Glendale and moves to Rose Park for the final round on Thursday. The first round was not decisive and half a dozen teams are still very much in the running for the championship.
Two teams shot 65, Jodi White-Kareen Alton and Lea Garner-Kendra Dalton, but there are five other teams within five shots of the leaders. White and Alton had nine birdies and two bogeys in their opening round while Garner and Dalton had seven birdies and no bogeys.
There are 35 teams in the popular tournament divided into four flights of competition. Randy Stephens and Sadie Palmer won the tournament last year. Rina Slade and Julie McMullin won the title the first two years of the event.
