Pinckney in Second; Blair, Finau in Tenth Going Into Final Round at Byron Nelson

Zac Blair and Tony Finau are tied with three others in tenth place going into the final round of the Byron Nelson Classic and former Utahn Scott Pinckney is in a tie for second place just two shots off the lead.

Steven Bowditch, who started the tournament with an opening round of 62, holds a two shot lead going into the final round, but there are five players just two shots back, including Pinckney.

Pinckney played in the Utah Junior Golf Association program and his mother was on the UJGA Board of Directors. Pinckney is also Utah’s brief connection with Rory McIlroy. McIlroy stayed at the Pinckney home in Orem for a couple of weeks one summer and played in some UJGA events. The Pinckneys moved to Arizona the next year.

Daniel Summerhays did not enter the tournament.

The tournament is being televised on the Golf Channel.
