St. Joseph’s Captures Girls 1A Golf Championship

St. Joseph’s won the Class 1A Utah High School Girls golf championship Monday at St. George Golf Cllub.

The teams played under the Stableford Scoring System that counts points instead of strokes and the high score wins.

St. Joseph’s shot 262 to win by 12 points over Milford. The other teams were Manila, Dugway, and Pinnacle.

Kristen Carney of St. Joseph’s won medalist honors with a score of 73, just one point better than Duchesne’s Krystal Chugg. Jessica Emfinger of Intermountain Christian, finished third with a 70.
