Nic Booth Earns Big Sky All Conference Honors
The Big Sky Conference announced its all-conference teams for the past golf season and Nic Booth of Southern Utah University was named to the first team. He finished in eighth place in the conference championship but led the Thunderbirds in scoring average with a 72.68 stroke average. He was also medalist at the Ogio Utah Invitational. Booth is the son of Mike Booth, the head professional at Glenmoor Golf Course.
Southern Utah’s Fidel Concepcion and Weber State’s Devon Purser were named to the second team. Two players from Southern Utah, Sammy Cole and Tim Leonard, received honorable mention
Idaho’s Jared du Toit was named Big Sky Player of the Year and Idaho’s Daniel Sutton was named Freshman of the Year. Idaho won the conference championship.
The All-Conference Team and individual award winners were selected by the eight conference head coaches. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own golfers. The Big Sky Conference sponsored men’s golf in 2014-15 for the first time since 2001-02.
