Kenny You wins again, notches victory at Cal Baptist Invitational

CORONA, Calif. – Kenny You (Sandy, UT/Alta) finished at three-under-par after three rounds of golf to take first place at the Cal Baptist Men's Invitational. His finish helped lead the team to fourth place overall.

“It's really great to see Kenny stepping up like this,” head coach Brad Sutterfield said. “He's doing a great job leading our team when we really need it.”

You shot a final round of 70, two under, to build on his first two rounds of 69 and 74. He edged out Simon Fraser's John Mlikotic who shot up from 10th at the start of the day to finish one stroke behind You for the tournament. This is the second individual win for You of the spring season after winning the Pat Hicks Invitational. He finished second at the San Bernardino Coyote Classic.

Simon Fraser took the top team finish with a combined 870 after a third round of 289. Dixie State finished fourth with an 885 after a day three total of 297. Sonoma State and Chico State ended up in second and third place, respectively.

Behind You was Cody Wass (West Haven, UT/Fremont) tied for 11th with a day three round of 74. Donny Hopoi (Aiea, HI/Kamehameha) logged a 75 to finish tied for 23rd.
