Summerhays, Blair Post High Finishes at Honda Classic

Daniel Summerhays and Zac Blair had high finishes at the Honda Classic and both played steady golf throughout the rain drenched week. Summerhays finished in 17th place and Blair checked in at 22nd place. Tony Finau missed the cut.

Padraig Harrington won the title over Daniel Berger in a sudden death playoff that lasted two holes.

Summerhays posted a compact set of numbers in shooting 71-68-70-71-280. His highest score was 71 and his lowest was 68. He shared the same even par showing with Phil Mickelsen and Jason Dufner.

Zac Blair had even a tighter score pattern with 71 being his highest and 69 being his lowest. He had rounds of 71-71-69-70-281. His 281 finished ahead of Lee Westwood and Sergio Garcia along with some other very fine golfers.

Finau shot 74-73 and missed the cut by four shots, but he was not alone. Rory McIlroy, also missed the cut.

Summerhays earned a check of $85,400 and Blair banked $63,440. That one shot was the difference in $22,000.
