Utahns Off to Slow Start at Sanderson Farms
The trio of former Utah State Am champions on the PGA Tour got off to mediocre starts at this week’s Sanderson Farms Championship in Jackson, Mississippi. Daniel Summerhays and Zac Blair each shot 72s and Tony Finau finished at one over par 73. Two years ago Summerhays finished second at this event, which still remains his highest finish on tour.
The first round leader, Sebastain Cappelen, shot seven under par 65.
Scott Pinckney, who regularly played in Utah Junior Golf Association events several years ago, shot 67 and is only two shots off the lead.
