Lone Peak Wins 5A Title by 22 Shots

Lone Peak is in the Utah High School Activities Association as a Class 5A school, but in golf it officially distinguished itself as being in a class by itself Monday and Tuesday when it won the Class 5A golf championship by 22 strokes over runnerup Davis.
Marshall Harris, of West, was the only player to steal any thunder from Lone Peak. He was medalist with rounds of 65-71-136.
In what may be a historic first, five of the six Lone Peak players shot under par for the 36-hole championship. Ryan Barber shot a first round 76, but he came back the next day and posted a remarkable 64, the best round of the tournament by any player in the field.
