New Mexico State Leads UVU Hobble Creek Invitational
New Mexico State holds a 13-stroke lead going into the final round of the UVU Hobble Creek Invitational and also posted the top three individual scores. Santa Clara trails by 13 strokes and BYU is just 14 behind the leader. The final round will be played Tuesday morning.
Camille Orito of New Mexico State is the individual leader at one under par 143. Her teammates Kacey Dalpes and Viviana Macias are just one shot back at 144. Weber State’s Kaceelyn Poutu is also just one shot off the lead.
BYU’s Lea Garner got off to a slow start with a 75, but shot a 70 for the best round of the afternoon.
Utah Valley University, the host of the event, is in ninth place.
