After Poor Start Blair Moves into Top 25 at News Sentinel Championship

Zac Blair got off to a slow start at the News Sentinel Open on the Web.com Tour in Knoxville, Tennessee, but since then he has been moving rapidly up the leaderboard and at the halfway point stands in a tie for 22nd place and is only five shots off the lead.
On Thursday he started with a double bogey and followed that up with a bogey and was three shots over par after just two holes. He shot a 65 on Friday with six birdies and no bogeys and stands at five under par. The leaders are at ten under.
A high finish, and especially a win, would be big step toward full status on the PGA Tour for the former Utah State Am champion.
Tony Finau, who is already assured a spot on the PGA Tour next year, is not playing in this event.
