Brimley Medals at USGA Mid-Am Qualifying at Soldier Hollow

Ryan Brimley shot a 67 and won medalist honors in the USGA Mid-Amateur Qualifying Monday at Soldier Hollow and the other qualifying spot was won by Mark Neider, who played collegiate golf at BYU-Hawaii and is a Sandy resident. He won a three-way playoff for the second spot over Jeff Jolley and reigning Utah State Am champion Jon Wright. They each shot 69s. Wright is the first alternate and Jolley is the second alternate.
Those shooting par and better were as follows:
67- Ryan Brimley
69- Mark Neider, Jon Wright, Jeff Jolley (Neider won playoff on first hole with a birdie, Wright is first alternate and Jolley is second alternate)
70- Robbie Fillmore, Darrin Overson, Dan Horner
71- Bob Mitchell, Robert McRae, Jake Peterson, Ryan Foley
72- Shane Brady, David Jennings
