Schow Misses USGA Junior National Cut By Three Shots
Mitchell Schow, a junior from Ogden, shot a marvelous two under par 70 in the opening round of the USGA National Junior Championship, but he tripled bogeyed the third and fourth holes of his second round, got one back with a birdie on five, but then took a double bogey on six and suddenly making the cut was in jeopardy. He played solid golf for the next six holes and was still under the cutline until he double bogeyed 14 and 15 and missed the cut by three shots. His final tally was 70-83-153. The cut came at 150.
