Brandon Kida, Sirene Blair Make Match Play at USGA Public Links Events
Two Utahns, Brandon Kida and Sirene Blair, have advanced to match play of the separate Men’s and Women’s USGA Public Links Championship.
Blair finished tied for 17th on rounds of 73-69-142 at The Home Course in Dupont, Washington. She hails from South Jordan and plays collegiately at San Diego State.
Kida, of Layton, finished tied for 29th on rounds of 71-72-143 at the Sand Creek Station golf course in Stanton, Kansas. He is the 29th seed and will play Chris Korte of Littleton, Colorado in the Round of 64.
Nic Booth and Tara Green also played in the respective tournaments, but failed to qualify.
