Last Chance Qualifiers Shoot Strong Scores at Wolf Creek

The Last Chance Qualifier, the first time such an event has ever been held at the Utah State Am, produced some strong players to fill the last six spots in this year’s tournament at Ogden Golf and Country Club and Valley View.
Playing the very difficult Wolf Creek golf course Boston Watts and Hayden Christensen each shot three under par 69s for low honors on the day and Cameron Howe and Jaece Stokes were just one stroke back with 70s. The final two spots were earned by Shane Romano and Christopher Smith with one over par scores of 73.
Corey Carter and Ryder Carson Velasquez came up one shot short with 74s.
Watts had seven birdies but finished with double bogey on the last hole. Christensen had six birdies and an eagle, but had five bogeys.
The tournament begins Monday with half the field playing 18 holes at Ogden Golf and Country Club and the other half playing at Valley View. The field swaps courses for the second qualifying round on Tuesday.
On Wednesday the tournament shifts solely to Ogden Golf and Country Club where sixty-four players advance to the match play segment of the tournament. The tournament continues through the week and concludes on Saturday with a 36-hole final match.

The Breakfast of Champions will be held Thursday morning prior to the match play Round of 32.
