Finau Finishes Fourth, Moves Into Top 25 on Tour

Tony Finau was tied for the lead going onto the last two holes of the United Leasing Championships on the Tour at Newburgh, Indiana Sunday, but he bogeyed both holes and finished in a tie for fourth, two shots shy of the title.
Still Finau’s performance moved him into the top 25 money winners on the tour and that’s a big deal on the Tour. The top 25 money winners on the tour earn their PGA Tour cards for next year.
The Tour comes to Salt Lake City at Willow Creek Country Club in two weeks and with Finau as one of the top players it bodes well for prospects of a bigger gallery than usual. Next week the tournament is in Nova Scotia.
Greg Owen won the tournament with a come from behind six under par back nine.
On the PGA Tour Daniel Summerhays finished in a tie for 30th at four over par at The Congressional Country Club in Washington, D.C. and on the Champions Tour Dan Forsman finished tied for 22nd at the Constellation Senior Championship. He shot steady rounds of 69-69-69-67-274.
