Five Courses Report Results of Recent Tournaments

 
Hill Air Force Base Am
Reed Nielsen, Bountiful CPS, shot a 68 to win the Hill Air Force Base Amateur Saturday for the second time. He won it two years ago and didn’t play in it last year. He qualified for the State Am recently at Bountiful Ridge and since his home course is Valley View he’s looking forward to the State Am.
Michael Membrila was just one shot back at 69 and Austin Banz and Jonathon Thomas were also under par with 70s.

Reed Nielsen and Casey Shaw teamed for a 61 to win the gross division of the Logan River Four-Ball by a comfortable six shots.

West Bountiful Amateur
Three players, Dylan Chugg, Dane Nelson, and Drew Sellers, shot 69s and shared top honors at the West Bountiful Amateur this past Saturday. Scott Hailes was one shot back at 69.

Cove View Senior Am
Jim Terry shot a six under par 66 to run away with the Cove View Senior Amateur championship Monday. His 66 was three shots ahead of runnerup Randy Peterson, 69, and six shots ahead of third place Randy Davis, 72, and eight shots ahead of Cove View’s perennial club champion, Mike Jorgensen who finished in a tie for fourth place, 74, with John Bale and Ryan Andersen.

Leavitt Amateur
In windy conditions Richard Church shot 76 to win the Leavitt Amateur at Cedar Ridge this past weekend. Rob Evans was one shot back at 77.
 
The Senior Division was won by Brian Peterson with a 78 and Rod Engle was a distant second with a 93.
