Justin Shluker Earns Medalist Honors as 28 Others Qualify for State Am
It was the 19 year old Justin Shlukers Eagle on the par 5 9th Hole at Fox Hollow that earned him Medalist Honors over a full field at the 4th of 11 Qualifiers for the Utah State Amateur. A total of twenty nine players qualified last Friday for the longest, most continuously held tournament in the world. Aaron Yeats was also under par with a 71 and Tommy Forsman, Braxton Barber, and Andrew Sellers finished at even par 72.
The cut came at 79 with three players having to play off for one spot. Brady Connors won the playoff and that left Elden Parker as the first alternate and Jake Stevenson as the second alternate.
Those who qualified for the finals at Ogden Golf and Country Club and Valley View were as follows:
