Parkinson Wins Dick Kramer SLC Amateur By One Shot

Joe Parkinson, Utah State Amateur champion in 2010, gave notice that he will be a serious contender for the title again this year when he won the Dick Kramer Salt Lake City Amateur this weekend at Bonneville on the strength of a final round 66 and a two day total of seven under par 137.
He won by a slim one shot over young, but experienced Rhett Rasmussen who may be ready to make some noise at the State Am.
In all there were 11 players under par including two other former State Am champions, Cole Ogden and Dan Horner.
The State Am qualifying season starts this week with two qualifying rounds at Glendale.
