Tour Report
Utah Hall of Famer Mike Weir shot a one over par 73 in the first round of The Masters. He won the Masters in 2003 and all former champions receive an automatic invite to play in the tournament. Weir is playing his 15th event of the 2013-2014 PGA TOUR wrap around season and to date he stands in 201st position on the money list with earnings of nearly $50,000. He is the only Utahn in the tournament.
Jeff Waters, The Golf Guy, is broadcasting from Augusta this week. He can be heard on ESPN 700 several times a day during the Masters.
After opening rounds of 73-73 Devin Daniels shot a third round 67 and moved up to 17th place in the PGA Tour Canadian qualifying school being played at PGA West. Daniels hails from Birch Creek.
On the PGA Web.com Tour Tony Finau got off to a slow start with an opening round 76.
