Utah Golfers on Tour, Blair Finishes 17th in His First Pro Tourney

Zac Blair finished his first professional tournament, the TransAmerican Power Products CRV Open, in Guadalahara, Mexico, in 17th place with a 13 under par score of 69-68-67-67-271, only four shots out of first place. In a very unusual finish seven players were tied after 72 holes and Marcelo Rosa eagled the second playoff hole to win the championship.
The tournament is owned and operated by the PGA Tour and is considered a developmental tour, a stage below the Web.com Tour.
Tony Finau missed the cut this week at the Web.com Tour Panama Claro Championship with rounds of 72-71–143.  Finau will be teeing it this week at the Chitimacha Louisiana Open Presented by NACHER
On the Champions Tour Mike Reid fired rounds of 74-70-77–221 to finish is tied for 59th place while Dan Forsman shot rounds of 77-74-71–222 for a share of 63rd place at the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic presented by C Spire.

Saturday, March 22, 2014 Utah Golfers on Tour: Blair Makes Cut in First Tourney
Update on Utah golfers in PGA Tour events:
Zac Blair shot a 68 to go with his opening round 69 for a two-day total of 137, just six off the lead, in his first professional tournament being played in the TransAmerican Power Products CRV at the Las Lomas de Golf Club in Guadalahara, Mexico. The tour is owned and operated by the PGA Tour as a development tour in South America.
Tony Finau, playing in the Web.com Tour, missed the cut by one after shooting 72-71-143. That tournament was also played in South America. The Web.com Tour now swings back to the United States and the next event will be in Louisiana.
Daniel Summerhays shot 75-76 at the Arnold Palmer Invitation at Bay Hill Country Club and missed the cut by five shots.
Mike Reid and Dan Forsman are playing in the Champions Tour at. Reid shot 71 and is in 51st place. Forsman shot 77. Jay Don Blake did not enter the event.

Friday, March 21, 2014 Utahns on Tour, Blair Shoots 69 in First Professional Tournament
Zac Blair played his first round of golf as a professional Thursday in the TransAmerican Power Products CRV at the Las Lomas de Golf Club in Guadalahara, Mexico. He shot 69, two under par, and stands in 50th place in the 72-hole tournament. The tournament leader is Roberto Diaz who shot eight under par 63.
The tournament is part of the LatinoAmerica NEC Series, a developmental tour owned and operated by the PGA Tour.
