Zac Blair Wins Winterchamps, Announces He Is Turning Pro

Shortly after winning the UGA Winterchamps title, his fifth straight amateur tournament of the year, Zac Blair announced that he was turning pro.
“I’ve signed up to play in a couple of the PGA Tour Development Tournaments in Latin America. I’m flying out in the morning,” he said.
He thanked the UGA and all its officials and volunteers for helping him have such a wonderful time in amateur golf, and in response Bill Walker, Executive Director of the UGA, wished Zac well in his professional career. Blair has won the UGA Player of the Year honor four times.
Zac is the son of Jimmy Blair, long time Utah professional golfer, and founder of Mulligans Golf Course in Ogden and South Jordan. They both won the Utah State Amateur championship. Jimmy won it in 1973 and Zac won it in 2008.
Jack Ridd and son Craig are the only other father-son duo to win the title.
