SUU Tops Utah Teams in Women’s Collegiate Opener in Arizona
Three women’s golf teams from Utah colleges competed in the Grand Canyon Women’s Spring Invitational at the Wigwam Golf Course in Litchfield Park, Arizona Monday and Tuesday.
Northern Arizona and Santa Clara shared the title with equal scores of 920 and the top Utah team was Southern Utah University with a sixth place finish on a score of 951, 31 shots behind the winners.
Brittany McKee, of Northern Arizona, shot the medalist score with rounds of 73-75-76-224. Monica Jung of Southern Utah University posted the best score from a Utah team with rounds of 78-75-77-230.
