Lea Garner Earns Medalist Honors at Hobble Creek Invitational, San Francisco Wins Team Title
BYU’s Lea Garner established herself as one of best collegiate players in the west when she won the Hobble Creek Collegiate Invitational by five strokes, but her performance couldn’t carry the Cougars to any higher team finish than fifth.
San Francisco walked away with the team title by six shots over second place Gonzaga and by 35 shots over the Cougars.
While the Cougars finished well down the team ladder board it was still better than the other five Utah colleges entered in the tournament.
