Snyder, Chugg Finish Strong, But Fail to Advance to Next Stage of LPGA Qualifying Test

Once Amanda Snyder and Kelsey Chugg got better acquainted with Palm Springs golf and the new experience of competing for spots on the LPGA Tour they fared very well, but by then it was a bit too late.
Snyder finished with strong rounds of 73-73 to go with opening rounds of 75-81 for a combined score of 302, which was only three shots higher than the score required to advance to the next stage of qualifying.
Chugg, the Utah Women’s State Am champion for two years in a row, got off to a miserable start with 81-82 rounds, but showed her true potential with a strong finish of 72-76 for a 311, 12 shots off the mark.
