Siegfried-Jensen Utah Open Fills Field With 34 Earning Qualifying Spots

Thirty-four players shot 69 or better to qualify for the non-exempt spots in this year’s Utah Open that begins Friday and concludes Sunday at Oakridge Country Club. Zack Baker also shot 69, but lost in a playoff for the final spot in the tournament and thus became the first alternate. There were 134 who teed it up in the qualifying round held at Glen Eagle Golf Course.
Jimmy Gunn and Andrew Gunson were qualifying medalists with eight under par 64s. Ten of the 34 qualifiers are amateurs.
