Clay Ogden Moves Up the Leaderboard at Utah Championship
Clay Ogden, older brother of Cole Ogden, the newly crowned Utah State Amateur champion, shot a 69 in the third round of the Web.com Utah Championship at Willow Creek Country Club and stands in 46th place, nine shots behind the leaders.
Ogden shot back-to-back 68s in the first two rounds of the tournament and that was good enough to make the cut with no room to spare. His 69 moved him up the leader board and another good round Sunday could result in a pretty good paycheck.
Clay was playing at Willow Creek Country Club while Cole was winning the Utah State Am at Soldier Hollow, and when Cole made a birdie Randy Dodson, of Fairways Magazine, tweeted to a friend at the Web.com event to tell him about Cole’s birdie and the friend responded that Clay had just made a birdie at the same time.
What’s that called? Karma?
